Within the application development team of my client , a new set of package based and bespoke applications are being procured and implemented. One of these bespoke applications will provide: A hub and spoke interface infrastructure (Operational Data Store) An application layer to support a number of business processes A reporting data warehouse. This application is being built using the following technologies: Oracle 9i; Ascential DataStage; Microsoft VB & ASP; Cognos ReportNet. A senior developer is required to lead the build and population of the ODS. The data involved is based around complex financial information on multi-party international trade deals being transferred form a package application. It is then expected that the developer will move on to the warehouse build. Skills Required Experience of using Ascential DataStage. Data analysis. Oracle PL*SQL. Desirable Skills Experience of building a data warehouse Knowledge of dimensional modelling tech (i.e. star schemas) Familiarity with Government and Financial systems Oracle Database design (Oracle 9i is being used) MSB Technology (a division of MSB International PLC) is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
